William faces challenges during clean-up time, often crying when the song starts. Due to his language delay, it’s difficult to comprehend his needs. He refuses to join in cleaning up or participating in circle time. In my observations, I’ve realized the importance of figuring out what he truly wants. Does he want more playtime? Does he dislike circle time? Understanding him better is essential.

Every behaviour has a message. So, understanding what William is trying to communicate is key to helping him. Could we give William more warning before the transition? Is he deep in play?

Remember, ” Behind every behavior is a feeling, until the feeling changes the behavir won’t change!”.
